Chapter and Verse is a sixteenth Century historic family home situated next to the church within a conservation area of Bicester. It was built on the site of a Priory dated 1182 which was reputed to have had two tall towers dominating the skyline for miles around. Later remains of the old priory were called the Chapter House.

The present building is a grade 2 listed house one side of which was part of the gatehouse and entrance to the priory. Henry VIII has been a famous visitor. Today evidence of antiquity are original beams which are some five hundred years old.

There are comfortable non smoking rooms consisting of single, twin/double and family each having a TV/DVD. A separate breakfast lounge and private kitchen, for tea and coffee are provided. Included in the rates is a full English or continental breakfast with special dietary requirements catered for.

The guests have a private entrance via a courtyard and secure parking. Chapter and Verse is a conveniently placed in the centre of town and the Bicester Village designer outlet within a three minute walk.
